We believe that MASC should be a fun and supportive environment where everyone feels welcome, children are able to be involved in the planning of what they do and parents/caregivers are involved in issues that relate to them and their children. Our aim is to provide a quality service that is inclusive, equitable and culturally appropriate.
We promote a sense of community within this environment and provide activities and skill learning that links the space between school and home so that there is a focus on constructive play and individual learning through free choice.
We cater for any primary aged child (Year 0 to 8), children do not have to be enrolled at Muritai School to attend. MASC has the use of the Green Room, Library, and Hall at Muritai School and also the school grounds. After School Care operates between 3pm and 6pm (school terms only). The Holiday Programme operates between 8am and 6pm.
Programme
MASC is an OSCAR (Out of School Care and Recreation) approved programme. A benefit of this is that parents are able to apply for WINZ subsidy. Children are supervised both inside and outside with a simple, nourishing afternoon tea provided daily. A specific arts and craft programme runs each term and sports are played daily. Other activities vary from week to week including cooking, and lots of fun.
A large range of sports equipment, board games and construction material is available. A quiet room is available for children to rest, read or complete homework.
Fees
Permanent enrolments: $17 per day per child. Fees are payable either in full at the beginning of each term or by installment one week in advance. Fee are payable for public holidays that occur during term time and also for casual absences.
Casual enrolments: Casual Visit Tickets can be purchased from the school office and are available in 2 ($40), 5 ($100) or 10 ($200) trip/visit amounts.
Holiday programme fees are $42 or $47 for at school days and $51 or $54 for outing days (fees depend upon the activity).

Management
The Board of Trustees are the guardians of Muritai Out of School Care and govern policy and management. The management and reporting to the Board is carried out by the After School Care Manager. A detailed policy folder is available for parents/caregivers to view.
