Weekly Activities

ACTIVITIES - We like to give the children as much choice as possible so as well as the set activity each day children are free to play sports, games, board games, self directed art / craft and play in the playground.  Children are free to join in any activity they wish to.

Prior to the daily activities, we complete 30-45 minutes of peer-assisted homework time during which the children are encouraged to complete spelling, reading, maths or other school assigned projects. If children do not have homework, they may spend this time quietly reading or talking to each other. Homework is done either in the library if available or in the hall or green room.

MENU - Our menu rotates weekly so that children are offered something different if they come on set days.  Afternoon tea is at 3pm and our selection consists of:

  •     Toast with marmite or jam
  •     Fairy bread
  •     Crackers with a variety of toppings
  •     Cruskits with marmite or jam
  •     Corn chips
  •     Hot beef or chicken noodles

*all are served with either flavoured crackers or a sweet biscuit, and a small cup of cordial

We may occasionally serve school-baked biscuits, scones or muffins. We are happy to cater to vegetarian and gluten-free diets, but we require prior notice to get these items in stock.
An extra platter of fruit and/or vegetables is also served at 4pm everyday.
